Terms of Service

The English version below is the authoritative legal text. Translations are available for the chrome around it (navigation, page title); the legal document itself is being prepared for review by a qualified lawyer in each jurisdiction.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Deutsch30 service operated by Kaveh Akbarzadeh trading as NEXTSEEN / Deutsch30 ("we", "us", "Deutsch30"). By creating an account, accessing free content, or purchasing the Full Course, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. What Deutsch30 is — and is not

Deutsch30 is a self-paced, self-directed digital learning product. It provides a structured 30-day plan of vocabulary, grammar, speaking prompts, listening tasks, writing exercises, and an AI conversation partner ("Leo"), with the curriculum mapped to the CEFR A0–A2 descriptors.

Deutsch30 is not: a tutoring service; a certification body; an accredited language school; or a substitute for professional instruction. We do not assign or grade you and we issue no certificates or diplomas.

2. No outcome guarantee

We do not warrant that you will reach any specific CEFR level, pass any specific exam, or achieve any specific level of conversational ability by the end of the 30 days or at any other time. Language acquisition depends on prior exposure, time invested, consistency of practice, immersion environment, and individual cognitive factors — none of which are within our control.

Statements such as "from A0 toward A2" or "30 days of structured practice toward A2" describe the curriculum's aim, not a promise of result. Individual results vary and may differ significantly from any examples or testimonials presented.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us at info@deutsch30.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Pricing, payment, and access

Deutsch30 operates on a freemium model. Days 1–14 of the course are available free of charge. Access to Days 15–30 and to unlimited AI chat features requires a one-time payment as displayed on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Prices include any applicable taxes where indicated.

Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Limited. We do not store payment card details on our servers. Once payment is confirmed, access to the paid portion of the course is activated immediately on your account.

5. Right of withdrawal and refund policy

EU consumers ordinarily have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. For digital content (such as Deutsch30) the right of withdrawal lapses once the content has been delivered, provided you expressly consented to immediate delivery and acknowledged the loss of your withdrawal right. We collect that consent at checkout.

Separately, we voluntarily offer a 30-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase, no questions asked. Send an email to info@deutsch30.comfrom the email address on your account and we will refund the purchase to your original payment method within 14 calendar days.

Full details on the Refund & Cancellation page.

6. Licence to use the content

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to access and use the Deutsch30 content for your own private, non-commercial language learning. You may not: copy, redistribute, resell, publicly display, scrape, or use the content (including the lesson JSON, audio prompts, and AI conversations) to train any other machine learning model.

7. Leo (AI chat) and writing checker

The AI conversation partner and writing-feedback features rely on third-party large language models (currently Anthropic's Claude). AI responses can be inaccurate, biased, incomplete, or fabricated. Treat all AI output as a learning aid, not as authoritative instruction. We are not liable for losses arising from your reliance on AI-generated content.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Deutsch30 in violation of any law or third-party rights;
  • Submit content that is unlawful, abusive, hateful, or infringing;
  • Attempt to disable, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the service;
  • Use the AI features to generate harmful, defamatory, or sexually explicit material;
  • Share your account credentials or resell access to your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules without refund, except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.

9. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We are not liable for downtime attributable to third-party infrastructure (hosting, payment, AI provider) or events beyond our reasonable control.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or relating to your use of Deutsch30 is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost opportunities, lost earnings, or any harm allegedly resulting from failure to reach a specific language proficiency level.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Austrian consumer protection law, including liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

11. Privacy

Our handling of your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or by a banner inside the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you may close your account and we will refund any unused portion of the paid period in line with Section 5.

13. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by Austrian law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers domiciled in the EU, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of your country of residence. Place of jurisdiction for non-consumer disputes is Vienna, Austria.
